Top on my list of things you really don't want to over-design is a report on wastewater effluent. Given the highly technical nature of this paper, however, I couldn't help but think that any little bit of formatting which improved its readability would be a help. I designed the report in InDesign; I formatted the article to look similar to a book or scientific journal article, as there were many pages of text and complex tables.

Right: I came across this sign when wandering around after-hours at the 2008 ESRI User Conference. Bet it was a blast, though I don't know if I'd want to dip my toes in the pool.
